Six players and four members of the Guinea-Bissau national team’s coaching staff are infected with covid-19, three days before the African Nations Cup (CAN) debut.
Monday a source from the Guinean Federation told Agência Lusa, the players were reported as infected following routine tests carried out by the African Football Confederation, already in Cameroon, after negative tests in Portugal and Guinea-Bissau.
At the moment, the Guinean team has 18 players available and is still waiting for the results of other athletes submitted to PCR exams to determine their status. The six infected athletes are isolated from the rest of the group.
