The Committee on Agriculture and Agrarian Reform (CRA) has meeting semi-attendance, on Thursday (7), at 8 am, to hear the president of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), Celso Luiz Moretti.
The guest will present Embrapa’s actions and results for the development of sustainable agriculture in Brazil in its 48 years of existence; besides talking about future perspectives for the company. Moretti will participate via videoconference.
A initiative for the meeting was by Senator Acir Gurgacz (PDT-RO), president of CRA.
“Embrapa is one of the most important agricultural research institutions in the world. It works through Research and Services Units and Administrative Units, being present in almost all States of the Federation, in the most different Brazilian biomes, and has been working for almost 49 years in the areas of research, development and innovation for the sustainability of Brazilian agriculture”, says Gurgacz in the application that asked for public hearing.
