There is currently little momentum in the seven-day incidence in Germany. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Thursday morning as 62.6.
For comparison: the day before, the value was at 62.3, 63.0 a week ago. The health authorities in Germany reported 11,644 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.
68 new deaths within 24 hours
That’s based on numbers which reflect the status of the RKI dashboard from 5.38 a.m. A week ago, the value was 12,150 infections.
According to the new information, 68 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 67 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,283,378 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, since many infections are not recognized.
Incidence of hospitalization most recently at 1.65
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days – the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions – The RKI had given on Wednesday 1.65 (Tuesday 1.68).
A nationwide threshold, from when the situation can be viewed critically, is for hospitalization -Incidence not provided due to large regional differences, among other things.
The previous maximum value was around 15.5 around Christmas time. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 94,027.
