After getting permission to reopen schools from the Commission for Air Quality Management, the Delhi government will reopen the schools from tomorrow.

The Commission for Air Quality Management has allowed schools in Delhi and NCR to reopen in a phased manner. The commission has suggested reopening the schools for students of classes 6 and above only with immediate effect. Further, the commission has added that schools for students of classes up to 5 can reopen from December 27, 2021.After the announcement made by the Commission for Air Quality Management, the Delhi government has allowed all schools to resume physical classes from Class 6 onwards from December 18.On December 13, the Delhi Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, sent a proposal to the Commission for Air Quality Management regarding permission to reopen the schools in the national capital.On December 2, the Delhi government directed all the schools to remain closed until further orders after the Supreme Court took note that while the government allowed work-from-home for office-goers, it reopened schools exposing children to the hazards of pollution.
