Eli Borges criticizes rising fuel prices, energy tariff banner and disproportionate water tariff for churches

The position of the federal deputy Eli Borges (Solidarity-TO) in consumer protection was highlighted this Thursday (30) in the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies and in the Defense Committee of the Consumer. The emphasis was on the rise in fuel prices, the constant changes in the charging of energy tariff rates and also in the minimum water tariff charged by

churches

, in the same proportion as commercial establishments.

Eli Borges recalled that the tariff flags are a creation of the Dilma government and added that “when they created the flags, they forgot that the differentiation of tariffs was not created. salary for periods of the year for the worker, who produces also has no differentiation of banners in their income”, he argued.

The congressman argues that instead of imposing the banners tariffs, the government creates an awareness-raising action on the critical periods for energy generation and reveals the conditions that raise costs in the Brazilian energy bill.

“The citizen then made aware of a government action naturally i would use less energy. Brazilians cannot suffer financial difficulties because their energy has increased or because the flag has changed”, argues EliBorges.

BRK

In the Consumer Protection Committee, Eli Borges highlighted the imposition of the minimum commercial water tax on churches in Tocantins and criticized the action of the BRK dealership. “In Tocantins we have BRK, which is a shame, and charges the highest level of sewage fees. They have a minimum commercial fee and the Church, which uses very little water, is also involved in this charge”, he pointed out.

“They are inventions. Well, if the citizen consumed 1,000 liters, pay for what he consumed. These companies are powerful and earn excessive profits, while many churches have financial difficulties”, observes the congressman. The deputy also expressed concern about the constant increases in fuel prices in the country and the impacts that could have on the economy.

“As Brazil prepares for the planting of the next crop, and tractors roar from north to south, east and west, to ensure the future of agribusiness, which has been saving the country, we have the excessive increase in fuels. We have to give an answer to society and this Consumer Defense committee is the essential committee for that”, points out the congressman.
