Garmin has introduced Beta Version 25.81 for Fenix 6, Enduro, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta series smartwatches. Available as an OTA update via GCM, Beta Version 25.81 contains a few bug fixes ahead of a new public release.
Garmin is now rolling out Beta Version 25.81 for Fenix 6, Enduro, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta series smartwatches enrolled on its Beta Program. Arriving a day after it released an equivalent update for the Fenix 7 series and its derivatives, Beta Version 25.81 builds on last week’s Beta Version 25.79. According to Garmin, the former will arrive as an over-the-air (OTA) update via Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM); previously, Garmin had been asking people to manually trigger the download of new beta builds.
As such, it could take a day or so before Beta Version 25.81 reaches your Fenix 6, Enduro, Marq, Quatix 6 or Tactix Delta series smartwatch. Likewise, updates tend to take several hours to finish transferring, before which time they cannot be installed on your smartwatch. It is also worth noting that Garmin claims to have changed the GPS version from earlier beta builds, although it appears to remain on Version 6.60.
Additionally, Garmin stresses that owners should verify whether the correct secure_config file is installed within the RemoteSW folder before updating to Beta Version 25.81. For reference, Garmin provides a download link for the latest secure_config file on its forum post. The changelog for Beta Version 25.81 is as follows:
- Fixed issue with incorrect weight after editing the last set’s weight in the strength activity.
- Fixed a potential issue where the daily suggested workout prompt would display the incorrect message.
- Fixed a potential issue causing the device to wipe music from storage after software updates.
