Genshin Impact adds new playable character, Tsurumi Island, and other optimizations in Version 2.2 update

Genshin Impact will be rolling out its massive Version 2.2 update on October 13th, bringing a new playable character and the last of the six major islands of Inazuma into the popular RPG. Titled “Into the Perilous Labyrinth of Fog”, the new version will introduce Thoma and add lots of new challenges and mini-games after the update.

As a bonus reward for players of Genshin Impact, the new update will offer another opportunity to claim “Savior From Another World” Aloy, a five-star crossover character from the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise, for free. The open-world action RPG will welcome Travelers to Tsurumi Island, where players need to keep their eyes peeled for the dangerous Rifthounds and the Rifthound Whelps. When these malevolent beasts attack a character, all party members will receive the “Corrosion” debuff and lose HP gradually.

In addition, Thoma will join the adventure as a four-star playable character with a Pyro Vision. He can be recruited in the second Event Wish. Travelers can also expect more seasonal events, such as the “Labyrinth Warriors” event and the “Tuned to the World’s Sounds”. Moreover, Version 2.2 brings optimizations for the overall gameplay, which includes the highly anticipated DualSense Controller support for the PC version.

Additionally, the Serenitea Pot now has more features, plus an Inazuma-themed realm layout “Silken Courtyard” and Furnishing Blueprints. If you just can’t wait to experience all of these awesome upgrades, you can download Genshin Impact on the iOS App Store or on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It’s a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
