Slight increase in approval
The governors of the 31 states of the country and the head of government of Mexico City closed the last month of 2021 with a high average approval: 51.8%; five out of 10 citizens endorse its performance.

The governors of the 31 states of the country and the head of government of Mexico City closed the last month of 2021 with a high average approval: 51.8%; five out of 10 citizens endorse his performance.
The Mitofsky Ranking on citizen approval of those who govern the states and the country’s capital, carried out for El Economista, reveals that last December the governors of Yucatan , Coahuila and Quintana Roo, as well as the Governor of Baja California, Mauricio Vila (PAN), Miguel Riquelme (PRI), Carlos Joaquín González (PAN) and Marina del Pilar (Morena), respectively, remained, in that order, the head of the list with outstanding approval —more than 60%.
Claudia Sheinbaum (Morena), head of the Government of Mexico City, heads the list of 17 governors who obtained a High approval at the end of last year —from 60 to 50%—: 10 from Morena, four from PAN, two from PRI and one from MC.
