Hadapi Gelombang Omicron, Indonesia Butuh Landscape Imunitas

INDONESIA nampaknya tengah memasuki gelombak ketiga Covid-19, setelah adanya kenaikan yang cukup tinggi dalam beberapa hari terakhir. Pasalnya, kasus positif Covid-19 di Indonesia telah mencapai 16 ribu kasus dan terus bertambah.

Penambahan ini pun tidak terlepas dari adanya varian Omicron yang menyebar dengan cepat. Ahli Epidemiologi Griffith University Australia Dicky Budiman melihat, salah satu langkah antisipasi lonjakan kasus yang lebih buruk adalah dengan membuat peta situasi atau landscape imunitas di setiap daerah.

“Landscape imunitas tersebut yang nantinya akan menentukan pola trend kasus di setiap daerah,” terang Dicky Budiman pada MNC Portal, Rabu (2/2/2022).

Landscape imunitas memperlihatkan bagaimana situasi vaksinasi di setiap daerah. Daerah dengan cakupan vaksinasi tinggi, tentu relatif lebih rendah risiko persebaran virusnya. Beda dengan daerah yang cakupan vaksinasinya masih rendah.

“Kalau daerah itu cakupan vaksinasinya sudah di atas 80%, bisa dinilai bahwa daerah itu relatif lebih rendah persebaran virusnya, daripada Delta,” kata Dicky.

“Tapi, jika wilayah itu vaksinasinya di bawah 50% dengan cakupan vaksinasi lansia masih rendah, itu bisa lebih buruk atau sama dengan gelombang Delta,” tambahnya.
