Hardkernel has announced the ODROID-H3 and ODROID-H3+, a pair of single-board computers powered by 10 nm Intel processors. Available from US$129, the ODROID-H3 series supports PCI3 Gen 3 SSDs and has plenty of I/O, among other features.

Hardkernel has introduced the ODROID-H3 and ODROID-H3+, two single-board computers (SBC) that retain their predecessor’s form factor. Incidentally, Hardkernel alleges that the pair should deliver comparable energy efficiency to the ODROID-H2 and ODROID-H2+ too. Unsurprisingly, Hardkernel has included a few upgrades, with a change in processor being one of the greatest.

To recap, Hardkernel equipped the ODROID-H2 series with processors from Intel’s Gemini Lake platform, which relied on 14 nm nodes. By contrast, the ODROID-H3 and ODROID-H3+ feature Jasper Lake processors, with the Celeron N5105 for the former and the Pentium Silver N6005 for the latter. While both processors have four cores, four threads and 10 W TDPs, the Pentium Silver N6005 has a 400 MHz higher boost clock speed than the Celeron N5105 and a more powerful iGPU.

Additionally, Hardkernel has included an M.2 2280 slot that supports PCIe Gen 3 SSDs, plus an fTPM for Windows 11 and the following connections ports, all on a 110 x 110 mm board:

  • 2x 2.5 Gbit Ethernet
  • 1x 24-pin expansion header
  • 1x 3.5 mm audio in
  • 1x 3.5 mm audio out
  • 1x eMMC socket
  • 1x DC power input
  • 1x DisplayPort 1.2
  • 1x Fan header
  • 1 HDMI 2.0
  • 2x SATA 3 connectors
  • 1x SPDIF out
  • 2x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 2x USB 3.0 Type-A

Both ODROID-H3 series boards are orderable now. Currently, the ODROID-H3 starts at US$129, while the more powerful ODROID-H3+ costs at least US$165. You can find out more details about both SBCs on the ODROID wiki, which also contains a handy comparison table between the H2, H2+, the H3 and the H3+
