Back in June 2016, Cristiano was out shopping in Madrid when he met Georgina in a Gucci store, where she worked as a sales assistant.

Georgina previously described the encounter as “love at first sight”, with the couple becoming infatuated with one another after their initial meeting.

The model, who is also a professional dancer, told ELLE: “The first meeting with Ronaldo was at Gucci where I worked as a sales assistant.

“Days later we saw each other again at another brand’s event and it was then we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of my work environment. It was love at first sight for both.”

Georgina began dating Cristiano and, during her Netflix documentary I am Georgina, she described the huge contrast between their lifestyles when they first met.

The 28 year old told how the footballer would collect her after her retail shift, saying: “Many times he’d come after work and I’d get out after 10 at night.

“I remember once he came in a Bugatti. My work colleagues went crazy. I’d get there on a bus and leave in a Bugatti. People couldn’t believe it.”

She also explained how when she would go to his mansion she would get lost, and it wasn’t until after around a year she finally knew her way round the property.

Less than a year after meeting, Georgina fell pregnant with the couple’s first child, and in November 2017 she gave birth to their daughter, Alana Martina dos Santos Aveiro.

Cristiano is also dad to Cristiano Jr, 11, and four year old twins Eva and Mateo, who were welcomed via surrogacy in June 2017.

In 2021, Georgina and Cristiano announced the happy news that they’re expecting twins, meaning they will soon have six children, with Georgina a proud step mum to Cristiano’s older children.

The pair first announced they were expecting twins together back in October, writing: “Delighted to announce we are expecting twins. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you #blessed.”

In December, Cristiano revealed that they were expecting both a boy and a girl.

The dad of four shared the news by posting a video of his four children gathered around the Christmas tree where they popped the balloons in front of them.

Fans could see a flurry of blue and pink confetti into the air, as Georgina prompted her children to say the words “boy” and “girl” in Spanish.

The couple own lavish properties in locations such as Madrid and Italy, and relocated to the UK after Cristiano returned to Manchester United last year.
