IHG Hotels & Resorts is bringing its Vignette Collection brand to France, marking a development in the company’s European expansion. In partnership with Global Hotels & Resorts (GHR), the new addition will incorporate two properties—the Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels—located in Théoule sur Mer along the French Riviera.
Scheduled to open in 2026, the hotel will retain the character and heritage of these properties while aligning with Vignette Collection’s hospitality standards.
Expanding IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio
The Vignette Collection supports independent luxury and lifestyle hotels by providing access to IHG’s technology, operational expertise, and loyalty network while preserving their identity. The brand has seen steady growth, with over 50 signed and pipeline properties worldwide. In three years, IHG has reached the halfway mark towards its goal of establishing 100 Vignette Collection hotels globally within a decade.
“The signing of the first Vignette Collection in France aligns perfectly with our luxury and lifestyle growth plans across Europe, as we focus on accelerating the expansion of new brands across priority markets, including France, whilst establishing one-of-a-kind properties in sought-after urban and resort locations.” “I’m excited to be working alongside our long-standing partners at GHR to bring the first Vignette Collection to this market, and to strengthen our luxury and lifestyle offering along the Côte d’Azur. Together with GHR, we have seen great success with our existing properties – InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto – and are now delighted to bring forward a unique hotel in a prestigious and internationally recognised location. With IHG’s trusted reputation and leading loyalty offer, we are confident that the hotel will cater to the growing demand for authentic, curated hospitality experiences.” – Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts
This project also strengthens IHG’s presence in France’s upscale hospitality sector. The country now hosts five of IHG’s six luxury and lifestyle brands, including Regent, InterContinental, Kimpton, Six Senses, and Hotel Indigo. The upcoming property in Théoule sur Mer will be part of IHG’s broader French portfolio, which includes 70 operational hotels and 12 in development.
A well-situated destination for travelers
Set against the backdrop of the Massif de l’Esterel, the first Vignette Collection hotel in France will offer views of the Riviera. Guests will have access to dining options, beaches, swimming pools, a gym, spa, and a bar. The property’s location also provides opportunities for walking trails, water sports, and event spaces, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
“Our objective is to sustainably grow our portfolio of exceptional properties and of solid investments, and to generate value and wealth generation after generation, “We are proud to partner once again with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring a Vignette Collection property to France, marking an exciting new chapter for our Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels. Having worked together successfully on properties like InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto, we knew that combining IHG’s trusted reputation with our vision and commitment to delivering world-class hospitality would create something exceptional. The French Riviera, with its timeless appeal and global recognition as a luxury destination, was the perfect choice for this venture. We look forward to offering Luxury & Lifestyle travellers a truly unique and unforgettable experience when the property opens in 2026.” – Sheikh Mohammed Youssef El Khereiji, Founder, Global Hotels & Resorts.
Contribution to the French Riviera’s hospitality sector
The collaboration with GHR aligns with the company’s efforts to support tourism and economic activity in Théoule sur Mer. GHR has established connections with local stakeholders, contributing to the town’s standing as a hospitality destination. By integrating with the Vignette Collection, the new hotel aims to attract visitors while supporting the region’s hospitality industry.
