Portuguese driver climbed one more place in the general classification
Joaquim Rodrigues achieved his second podium in this year’s edition of the Dakar this Thursday and climbed to 14th place in the classification of motorcycles. After winning the 3rd stage in the first week, the Portuguese pilot da Hero was third in the 11th and penultimate timed special.
The 346 timed kilometers in the Bisha region were done by Joaquim Rodrigues in 3h33m22s with the Portuguese I spend 2m26s more than Kevin Benavides (KTM) – the winner of the stage.

Sam Sunderland (GasGas) was the runner-up this Thursday – just 4s from Benavides – and returned to the lead (which he had lost in stage 9) benefiting from the more than 20 minutes delay with which Adrien van Beveren (Yamaha) reached the finish line.

In the car race, Carlos Sainz achieved his second stage triumph with the electric Audi, beating Luciano Alvarez (Toyota) by 3m10s and his teammate Mattias Ekstrom by 3m53s.
In the general classification, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota) manages the controller without having to to accelerate too much.
Miguel Barbosa and Pedro Velosa finished the stage in 40th place and recovered two more overall.

In the SSV, Luís Portela Morais and David Megre (Can -Am) finished stage 11 in 5th place and Rui Oliveira and Fausto Mota (Can-Am) were in 26th place – keeping respectively the 7th and 16th places in the classification.

In the light prototypes, Mário Franco and Rui Franco (Yamaha) were in 10th place in the stage and occupy the 14th place overall.
The Dakar 2022 ends this Friday with stage 12 on a 516-kilometre connection between Bisha and Jeddah with 164 timed kilometers.
