LAMATA considering the use of Biogas and Biodiesel as alternative fuel for public transportation in Lagos State.
Says it is investigating the use of biogas and biodiesel as potential replacements for traditional diesel fuel in its bus fleet.
Agency particularly interested in biogas if it proves compatible with its existing fleet of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses.
LAMATA said its focus on alternative fuels reflects the agency’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) said it is exploring the use of either biogas or biodiesel for public transport operations to help reduce the greenhouse gas emissions in Lagos State.
