The British Prime Minister and his staff held a garden party during Britain’s first lockdown in May 2020. Pictures show Johnson hanging out with Downing Street employees with cheese and wine on the tables.
– Nobody told me that this was against the rules, says Johnson.
The Prime Minister has apologized, but many are still very critical of his actions. One of them is five-year-old schoolgirl Layla Somani from Leicester.
Layla became interested in Johnson and Queen Elizabeth last year and has since started following the news on television. In a viral clip, while dad Nick is filming her, she explains to her grandmother and grandfather what Johnson has done wrong.
– Boris Johnson told everyone to stay home during the shutdown, but he himself went to a party. Boris has been disobedient and has to stand in the corner of shame. He needs to apologize to everyone, says Layla in the clip.

“When I grow up, I’m definitely going to be Prime Minister”
She explains to her grandparents that Johnson can not continue to lead the country he “can not go back to his prime minister’s residence.”
– Someone else will be prime minister and be good at it, but Boris Johnson is not that anymore, he is a bad prime minister, says Layla – before she concludes by still giving Johnson a bit of hope:
– But if he’s lucky, he can go back to his prime minister’s residence and become prime minister again. We’ll see how it goes.
The proud parents posted the clip on social media.
– We could not stop laughing. When she explained, we realized how much she has actually learned about this, says Layla’s mother Devina Somani.
The clip went viral and many wrote in the comments field how impressed they are with the five-year-old.
– She became very proud when people wrote “Layla is our future Prime Minister”. She said, “I’m a little too young for that right now, but when I grow up I’m definitely going to be Prime Minister.”
