Nian gao is ubiquitous everywhere the Lunar New Year is celebrated and is considered good luck to eat it during this time of year. In the Philippines, tikoy is commonly beaten in egg and pan-fried for that “crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside” texture.

The online food community turned the glutinous treat — already delicious on its own — into three ways of tikoy rolls: a cheese-filled one, a mango cheese flavor, and one with ube and cheese. The best part? You only need an air fryer; no fancy equipment necessary.
Whichever filling you choose, the video recommends air frying the roll for five minutes at 200 degrees Celsius, before being air-fried again for two to three minutes, before being served with a side of condensed milk as a dip.
