The construction of Clarion Hotel Draken at Järntorget is in full swing.
Petter Stordalen’s new venture in Gothenburg will be ready in 2023 – and he will not hold back on the inauguration.
– This is one of our most spectacular hotel projects we have ever been involved in, says Petter Stordalen in a video on Instagram.
In 2012, Petter Stordalen inaugurated the Clarion Hotel Post in a magnificent way to say the least . The whole of Gothenburg was invited to a celebration at Drottningstorget where Stordalen arranged a concert and light show.
Some of the artists who performed were Timbuktu, Danny Saucedo and Sissel Kyrkjebö.
Stordalen himself made his entrance in a huge disco ball that was hoisted down at the entrance.
Then the party continued all night for the VIP guests inside the then, brand new hotel.
Not only the Vip guests were allowed to join, the people of Gothenburg were invited to a concert at Drottningtorget.

In 2023, the new hotel, Clarion Hotel Draken, will open . Construction is in full swing at Järntorget and when Draken opens its gates, there will be 474 rooms, three restaurants, a rooftop bar, gym and spa.
In total there will be 34 floors of everything you could wish for in a hotel.
– You can look out over the whole of Gothenburg, and not only that, there will be restaurants and bars. You can be here a whole weekend without going out, says Stordalen on Instagram.
Has a special place in the heart of Stordalen
The inauguration of the hotel will beat the big party in 2012,
Petter Stordalen has now promised this on his Instagram.

Petter Stordalen owns a number of hotels in Gothenburg, Clarion Hotel Draken at Järntorget will be built at the already existing building cinema Draken. Petter Stordalen has previously promised that you will preserve as much of the old as you can.
– Gothenburg has a special place in my and Nordic Choice Hotels’ heart and I know that Draken has a very special place in the hearts of Gothenburgers. In other words, it is too much love and passion when the new hotel now begins to be built, Stordalen said in connection with the project starting.
