Loki Departs K.O.’s Skhanda World Record Label. To elucidate the simple meaning of a “mass exodus,” one might easily look to the present circumstances unfolding within K.O’s Skhanda World Record label.
The seasoned rapper and entrepreneur established a successful venture with his Skhanda World brand, assembling a dynamic group of young and ambitious artists driven to reach the pinnacle of the fiercely competitive rap industry. But the dream has faced the limited test of time to reach its full and expected potential.
From an external perspective, it appears that the situation at Skhanda World is becoming increasingly constricting, with Loki being the latest artist to exit the label, following the departures of Ma-E, DJ Mr X, Roiii, and Just Bheki.
Taking to Twitter (X), Loki shared a video clip showcasing his rap prowess at the same time expressing gratitude to K.O and Moremedi for giving the young rapper a chance to stardom. “Y’all found me 2019 with about 700 followers or so…looked past the “hype” or lack thereof and saw something no one else saw. I owe y’all a “we told y’all he’s him” moment & I pay what I owe 🫱🏾🫲🏼@MrCashtime @tsholo as we part ways , I wanna tell y’all thank you❤️ nangenz umuntu,” Loki said.
The young Durban rapper has always believed in himself and what he is capable of. Previously, Loki boldly stated that he should be considered one of the best rappers in SA. The reality show kinda pushed me somewhere I had to rap my way out of ….couldn’t “sing” my way out of the murmurs. And nje I haven’t been in the “best rapper” converation in a young , where as I feel I’m one of them in my own right,” Loki said.
Endowed with immense talent, Loki’s upcoming foray into the world of independent music adds an element of fascination. It will be captivating to observe the next phase of his musical journey.
