The Red Devils got back to winning ways last time out after going through a bit of a rough patch and will now look to maintain the momentum.
Harry Maguire will miss Manchester United’s upcoming meeting with Everton while Luke Shaw remains a doubt, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed.
Marcus Rashford, who underwent shoulder surgery and has been out of action for almost three months now, meanwhile, is still on the road to recovery.
However, there is some positive news regarding Rashford as the 23-year-old forward participated in competitive training for the first time since his surgery on Friday.
Maguire and Shaw, meanwhile, both missed the midweek Champions League win over Villarreal. The center-back will remain sidelined for a few weeks but the left-back could be available for Man United on Saturday.
“Luke feels better in himself. He’s been ill but he’s still got the shoulder injury. We’ve got to make a decision on him,” said Solskjaer (via the club’s official website).
“Marcus trained fully for the first time today with contact. There were a few tackles flying in on him and he seemed okay, which was nice to see. Marcus is fit, he’s worked really hard, but he’s not had any contact . If his shoulder can take the contact now, he should be ready after the internationals.
“Harry is still out and Amad is still out. We didn’t lose anyone on Wednesday night.”
