More trouble ahead for Brendan Rodgers and Leicester

Leicester have had a tough start to the season. We clearly believe most in Crystal Palace in today’s home game against Leicester and use Palace as one of our sure bets on Sunday’s betting slip.

Sunday’s betting slip consists of six matches from the Eliteserien, the top match between Aalesund and HamKam in the OBOS league, four matches from the Premier League and ends with a match from the German Bundesliga. The bonus pot was distributed on Saturday’s betting slip and is therefore on “only” approx. NOK 240,000 Today. The submission deadline is Sunday at 14.55 .

On Wednesday it is approx. NOK 43 million in the Viking Lotto pot

1. Kristiansund – Rosenborg
Two thirds of the Elite Series is done and it is close at the top and it is tight at the bottom. Kristiansund stood with three straight victories, before they had to give up for newly lit Brann with 1-3 in Bergen last Sunday. Is in 4th place with 35 points and has only three points up to Molde in second place. Extremely strong 8-1-1 at home in Kristiansund. Andreas Hopmark had to deal with illness against Brann, but is ready for Sunday’s home game.

Rosenborg does not sparkle in terms of play, but continues to score points. Made a very mediocre home game against Mjøndalen on Sunday, which they eventually won 3-1, but Mjøndalen was no worse. Has actually won seven of his last eight league games and is in 3rd place with 37 points. Four points up to league leader Bodø / Glimt and only one point up to Molde in 2nd place. Andre Hansen loses Sunday’s match, while Vebjørn Hoff, Dino Islamovic, Markus Henriksen and Alexander Tettey are all still out.

0-0 and 2-2 in similar matches the two previous seasons. Rosenborg has taken many points lately, but is having a hard time winning this one. HU.

2. Mjøndalen – Brann
Table jumbo Mjøndalen has been clearly improved in its last two league games, but has only received one point. Clearly best at home against Strømsgodset second last, but had to settle for 1-1. Had momentum at Lerkendal last Sunday at the position 1-1, but ended up losing 1-3. With only 14 points, there are only three points up to Brann in the qualifying place.

A clearly improved Brann with seven points in their last three league games. Strong 3-2 win away against Lillestrøm third last and had earned all the points in the 1-1 match away against Tromsø second last. Deserved 3-1 victory at home against Kristiansund last Sunday. Has thus taken up the qualifying place with 17 points, but only three points down to table jumbo Mjøndalen. Fredrik Pallesen Knudsen is back from quarantine and thus Eirik Horneland has no major crew problems.

2-0 and 2-1 to Mjøndalen in a similar match the two previous seasons and Mjøndalen has been a nightmare opponent for Brann who has not taken full pot away against Mjøndalen since 1975. Nevertheless, we believe most in Brann victory, but the statistics indicate all signs. We play HUB both on the 96-row and on the 432-row.

3. Odd – Molde
Solid 3-1 win away against Haugesund for Odd last Sunday and The Skiens team thus stands with 26 points and should feel safe with that score. At the same time, it is too far up to the medal battle, when ten series rounds remain. Usable 4-2-3 home in Skien. Espen Ruud suffered an ankle injury against Haugesund and is out for Sunday’s home game. Telemarksavisa reports the following starting students: Probably Odd team against Molde: Leopold Wahlstedt – Gilli Rolantsson, Odin Bjørtuft, Magnus Lekven, John Kitolano – Joshua Kitolano, Fillip Jørgensen, Markus Kaasa – Conrad Wallem, Flamur Kastrati, Sander Svendsen.

Things are not going well for Molde during the day and disappointing with only 2-2 at home against Viking last Sunday. Thus lost some ground to league leader Bodø / Glimt and is three points behind in second place. Moderate 3-4-3 away and is without a win in its last five away games (0-3-2).

It is 0-2-2 on the last four matches in Skien. UB.

4. Stabæk – Bodø / Glimt
After a period of poor performance, Stabæk surprised with 3 -0 victory away against strong Sandefjord last weekend. It should be added that the home team had to play with ten men in the last half hour and the last two Stabæk goals came after the expulsion. Started fresh at home against Strømsgodset in Wednesday’s hanging match, but eventually dropped out and must say he is satisfied with one point. Fredrik Haugen had to leave early with an injury then and is hardly ready for Sunday. Stabæk is second to last with 17 points and has no better than 2-3-5 at home at Nadderud. Captain Yaw Amankwah is out for the rest of the season.

League leader Bodø / Glimt finally won deservedly 1-0 at home against Vålerenga last Sunday and stands with a strong 5-1-0 on his six last league games. Tops the table three points ahead of Molde and clearly approved 5-2-2 away. Solid away match against CSKA Sofia in the European Conference League on Thursday which ended 0-0. Ulrik Saltnes suffered a blow to CSKA Sofia and will not be ready for Sunday’s match at Nadderud.

2-2, 2-0 and 0-0 in a similar match at Nadderud the three previous seasons. No walkover for Glimpses this. UB.

5. Tromsø – Haugesund
Strong, surprising and deserved 2-1 victory for Tromsø away against medal-chasing Lillestrøm at Åråsen last Saturday and Gutan thus still has his head above water. Is fourth last with 19 points, but has no more than two points down to Stabæk in direct relegation. Normally home-strong Tromsø is the only team in the Elite Series that is still without a home win (0-4-5).

Unstable Haugesund with 1-3 losses at home for Odd last Sunday. It was the team’s second home loss of the season (7-1-2). Away he only won one match (1-3-6). Is in 8th place with 28 points. Important Sondre Liseth will probably lose the match due to back trouble, while Sulayman Bojang will definitely lose the match.

2-2, 1-2 and 2-0 on the last three matches at Alfheim. We have a very good feeling that Tromsø will take their first home win of the season tonight. H.

6. Vålerenga – Strømsgodset
It is almost surprising how Vålerenga collapsed after the sale of Aron Dønnum . Stands 1-5-3 in its last nine league games and has slipped to 9th place in the table. With 27 points, the team is long out of the medal match and now it’s about finishing the season in a decent way.

Strømsgodset was closest to the victory in Wednesday’s hanging match away against Stabæk, but all in all a draw was a correct picture of that match. Is in 7th place with 29 points, but has no better than 1-3-6 away.

Vålerenga has won 2-0 at home against Strømsgodset the two previous seasons and should have good chances of winning this time as well and will be one of our sure on Sunday’s betting slip. H.

7. Aalesund – HamKam
Top settlement in the OBOS league where Aalesund in 2nd place has six points up to league leader HamKam.

Aalesund showed strong morale in the away match against third-placed Jerv on Wednesday. Came early under 0-2 in that match, but two goals by Kristoffer Barmen ensured 2-2 and one point. At home at Color Line Stadium, Aalesund is very strong 7-3-0 and Aalesund is actually undefeated in the last fifteen league games (10-5-0). With Jerv having to settle for one point away against Sogndal on Saturday, Aalesund gets a three point lead down to Jerv with a victory tonight.

HamKam has a steady course towards a somewhat surprising comeback in the Eliteserien and Kjetil Rekdal has done a phenomenal coaching job. Turned 0-1 to 3-1 victory at home against Sandnes Ulf on Wednesday night and stands with 7-1-0 in their last eight league games.

Aalesund are without a loss at home and in their last 15 league games. We do not think Lars Arne Nilsen’s men will lose tonight’s top match. HU.

8. Liverpool – Manchester City
The next four matches are all taken from the Premier League and we begins with a real big match between the two who are perhaps the biggest favorites to take home the league gold this season.

Liverpool continue to impress and crush Porto 5-0 in Lisbon on Tuesday night in the Champions League. Has started strongly in the Premier League, although they had to settle for 3-3 away against the fresh newcomer Brentford last Saturday. Tops the Premier League before this weekend’s round with 14 points and has four teams behind him on 13 points. Trained Alexander-Arnold does not make it to the match, nor do Thiago and Harvey Elliott.

Manchester City with a show of force away against Chelsea last Saturday and a much deserved 1-0 victory. Also made a solid away match against PSG on Wednesday, but did not set his chances and lost 0-2. Neither Ilkay Gundogan nor Oleksandr Zinchenko are back until after the national team stay. Otherwise, Guardiola has an injury-free squad.

1-4, 3-1 and 0-0 in similar league settlements at Anfield the three previous seasons. We play U on the 96-row and HUB on the 432-row.

9. Crystal Palace – Leicester
Patrick Vieira was a controversial coach choice for Palace before this season, but the French midfielder has shown he is good enough. Brilliant in the home game against Tottenham third last and fully deserved 3-0 victory. Also made a clearly approved away game against Liverpool second last despite a 0-3 loss and was clearly closest to victory in Monday’s 1-1 game at home against good Brighton. Patrick Vieira can choose from an unchanged squad.

I wonder if Brendan Rodgers is about to live dangerously as manager of Leicester after Thursday’s 0-1 loss away against Legia Warszwava in the Europa League. It came five days after a very disappointing home game against Burnley where Leicester only managed 2-2. Stands with only seven points in his first six league games and two of three away games are lost. Jonny Evans and Wilfred Ndidi are definitely out for Leicester

It’s 2-1-1 in the last four matches at Selhurst Park. Leicester are not the best of the day and we think Palace will lose this one. H.

10. Tottenham – Aston Villa
Tottenham started the season with three straight one-goal victories and everything was apparently in most beautiful order. But the points catch was probably flattering for Spurs, the next three league games are lost with an overall goal difference of 1-9. Terrible first round against Arsenal last Sunday and was played at home against Chelsea second last and away against Crystal Palace third last. Has dropped to 11th place in the table with his total of nine points. Steven Bergwijn and Ryan Sessegnon are out.

Aston Villa with a strong 1-0 victory away against Manchester United last Saturday and Villa looks good. Had to endure 0-3 loss away against Chelsea third last and messed up in the series premiere away against Watford (loss 2-3). But good at home against Everton second last (win 3-0) and not least away against Manchester United last Saturday. Axel Tuanzebe was not allowed to play against the parent club Manchester United last Saturday, but is available again now.

Aston Villa won 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season and can win again. We play HB on the 96-row and HUB on the 432-row.

11. West Ham – Brentford
This will be another festive football match. Both teams have had a great start to the season. West Ham with only one loss so far, that loss came at home against Manchester United second last. Then Mark Noble burned a penalty for West Ham in overtime at the position 1-2. Struck back with a strong 2-1 win away against Leeds last weekend and is up to 11 points in the first six league games. Right-back Vladimir Coufal missed Thursday’s Europa League match and is also uncertain for Sunday’s match.

Newly promoted Brentford started the season with a 2-0 victory at home against Arsenal and delivered a brilliant away game against Wolverhampton penultimate, where they deservedly won 2-0. Was under both 1-2 and 2-3 at home against Liverpool last Saturday, but came back twice and saved 3-3. Is actually undefeated on the road so far. Long-term injured Josh Dasilva and Mads Sorensen are the only absences for Brentford.

West Ham will no doubt gain confidence as one of our sure on Sunday’s betting slip. H.

12. Bayern Munich – Eintracht F rankfurt
Sunday’s betting slip ends with a match from the Bundesliga. Bayern Munich started the season with 1-1 away against Borussia Mönchengladbach, but since then there have been seven straight victories. 7-0 at home against Bochum second last and 3-1 away against Greuther Fürrt last. In the Champions League, they have beaten Barcelona 3-0 at Camp Nou and on Wednesday they won 5-0 at home against Dynamo Kiev. Benjamin Pavard was sent off against Greuther Fürth and is suspended. Otherwise, Tolisso’s only absence is significant.

Significantly heavier introduction for Jens Petter Hauge and his Eintracht Frankfurt. They have admittedly only lost away against Borussia Dortmund in the series premiere, but despite the fact that three of the next five have been played at home, they are without a win and in fact with five draws in a row. Thursday night was the final victory with 1-0 away against Antwerp in the Europa League. Defenders Erik Durm (five league games from the start), Christopher Lenz (three league games from the start), Obite N’Dicka (six league games from the start) are all out for Eintracht.

5-0, 5-2 and 5-1 to Bayern Munich in a similar league match the three previous seasons. Not easy to argue for other than home win in this one. H.
