A Netflix released the animation artbook for free The Mitchell Family and the Machine Revolt
The book was made available in the midst of the streaming service’s campaign for the feature to be nominated for major awards, such as Oscar. The content can be viewed through a special page of the platform.
In addition to the work of Sony Pictures Animation, the artbook also has texts by the author Ramin Zahed detailing behind-the-scenes animation processes.
The Mitchell Family and Revolt of the Machines was released in April 2021 on Netflix . The original voice cast includes names like Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph and Olivia Colman.
The feature tells the story of Kate Mitchell and his family who suddenly become the last free humans in the midst of a machine revolution. The film is directed by Mike Rianda (Gravity Falls ) and production by Phil Lord and Chris Miller ( Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).
