Olivia Bowen begins work on neutral nursery at £1million Essex mansion

It was only a matter of time before we were hooked on Olivia and Alex Bowen’s nursery plans.

And the journey is under way, with the parents-to-be sharing plans for the new space for their baby.

The first part of the process has been selecting wallpaper for the baby’s room, who and Olivia, 28, and Alex, 30, will welcome this summer.

Taking to the home account, they shared a variety of shapes, including brown owl and woven jute.

The post read: “Nursery plans! I sourced some wallpaper samples that I loved which annoyingly won’t work for our wall as the window is such a large hole in the design, that it’ll cut off half the animals heads but they’re so beautiful! So we’re going to have our own wallpaper designed taking some inspo from these.

“Giraffes, elephants & lots of soft foliage focused around the window! I did consider having a mural drawn directly on the walls but I think I’m going to prefer a bit of texture of the paper on the wall.

“We also popped into B&Q & quickly grabbed some brown/neutral type colours from Valspar to get the ball rolling – but didn’t manage to look properly as otherwise we were going to be late for our scan haha! This colour will be going on the other three walls & the wallpaper detail will be matched to it.”

Olivia ended the post by asking her fans if they had any recommendations for “neutral light browny creamy colours.”

Olivia had already hinted that the nursery would boast a neutral colour scheme.

Earlier this month the 28 year old treated her 757,000 followers of her home design account to a peek of her mood board for the nursery.

Olivia, who met Alex during the second series of Love Island back in 2016, has been busy transforming their sprawling Essex home into a gorgeous pad and we cannot wait to see the finished nursery!

The mum-to-be has opted to stick to shades of beige, cream and white to create a calming space for her baby and has explained that the couple will use the green guest bedroom for their little one.

Taking a look at the first design, we can see that Olivia is keen to use natural wood and rattan furniture to provide a chic and simple foundation for the bedroom.

The ex-reality star has also got her eye on pampas grass and a canopy over the bed to add plenty of texture and a natural feel to the room.

Meanwhile Olivia has hinted that she and Alex will not found out the sex of their baby and intend on keeping to a ‘gender neutral’ colour scheme.

Captioning the snaps, Olivia penned: “Neutral Nursery Goodness. These little pins from Pinterest are some of my inspo for the nursery! We’ve decided to choose the green room with the big central arch window. I can’t wait to transform it.”
