繼 1 月公布 PlayStation VR2 的規格和功能後， Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) 剛公布 PS VR2 的最終設計。在用色和設計上匹配 PS5 主機的黑白色調，但又有配合人體工學的球狀設計。
PS VR2 的頭戴裝置與 PS VR2 Sense 控制器一樣採用互相匹配的圓型球狀設計，代表玩家進入虛擬世界時所感受到的 360 度視角。
PS VR2 頭帶仍然採用旋鈕來調校鬆緊，但就參考上一代 PS VR 對重量平衡作出調整，另外，新頭戴裝置又採用可調整眼罩，玩家可調節眼罩區與面部的距離，鏡片也加入了調整兩片鏡片之間瞳距的轉盤，以適應玩家的瞳距優化視野。而耳機插孔位置就維持不變。
早前 SIE 公布 PS VR2 會採用 4 鏡頭 Inside-out Tracking 追蹤系統，又會加入震動回饋和眼動追蹤功能。大家可能會擔心因而令頭戴裝置的重量增加，不過 SIE 就表示新頭戴裝置重量不增反略減，而 SIE 資深藝術設計師 Yujin Morisawa 又表示在眼罩頂部和前方表面之間留有空間作通風口，避免鏡頭產生霧氣。
此外， PS VR2 頭戴裝置又會採用單線設計簡化佈線，前後綁帶上又會加入微小的 PlayStation 符號，以提升玩家的舒適感受。
SIE 上月公布 PS VR2 的規格，包括 4K HDR 超高清解像度、 110 度寬廣視野、不用外置鏡頭或燈塔的 6DoF Inside-out Tracking 、 紅外線眼動追蹤 、頭戴裝置回饋等，功能比大部分 PC VR 頭戴裝置還要先進。 SIE 已經向遊戲開發商發放開發套件，祈望在 PS VR2 帶動下會有更多 AAA 級 VR 大作推出，但一切還要看 PS5 主機的供貨情況而定。
