Primark selling £14 tote bag ‘almost identical’ to Arket’s £279 version

Primark shoppers are loving a new bag which looks similar to a designer version. The bargain retailer’s new black slouchy tote bag is priced at £14 and is ‘almost identical’ to an Arket version, available in stores only.

The bag is made with faux leather material and features a shopper-style design, with an arched, extendable handle. The new bag looks very similar to the black leather tote from Arket, which has a steeper price tag of £279 – meaning shoppers could save around £265 by opting for the Primark version.

The two bags are similar, both featuring a leather-look design in black, an extendable strap handle, and sleek, minimalist design. However, the Arket bag is leather and more structured.

The bags were shared by popular Instagram page Welovethehighstreet, which shares “the latest fashion and beauty straight from the high street.” The post showed the bags side by side, alongside the prices.

The caption reads: “MATCHED….Remember the viral Arket bag from last year…. well there is a match in town… and it also comes in cream!! It’s almost identical in real life….Off to primark we go…..” One shopper called Sarah replied: “Loooove,” while Highstreetstylesisters put: “Amazing.”

If this Primark bag isn’t the one for you, the retailer also has a £10 Lock Clasp Crossbody Bag that looks very similar to one from Neous. The retailer’s Phoenix Baguette bag is priced at £690 and is very similar in colour and style. Shoppers could save around £680 by opting for the Primark dupe.
