In the Las Vegas Raiders’ game against the Denver Broncos, quarterback Gardner Minshew headed directly to the locker room with an injury.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, he had hurt his left shoulder and is questionable to return.
Additionally, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said Minshew’s injury “doesn’t look good,” per Tashan Reed of The Athletic. He will likely need further testing to determine the full severity of the injury.
At the time, the Raiders were down 26-19. He was replaced by backup quarterback Desmond Ridder who was immediately strip sacked by Denver.
Until that point, Minshew had completed 25 passes for 230 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He had been sacked three times and fumbled the ball once.
Ridder would go on to complete five passes for 64 yards. Additionally, punter AJ Cole completed a single pass for 34 yards.

Unfortunately, this seemed to be the nail in the coffin for any chance the Raiders had for a comeback. Denver wound up winning 29-19.
This marks the seventh loss in a row for Las Vegas, with a majority of them being by at least two scores. And their schedule isn’t getting any easier.
Three of the last six games will see the Raiders face off against three playoff favorites: the Los Angeles Chargers, the Denver Broncos, and, most dangerous of all, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The last time Las Vegas won was against the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 29. Minshew completed 14 passes for 130 yards in the 20-16 victory.
Currently, the Raiders are 2-9, tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants for worst record in the NFL.

Minshew has had it rough this season, being benched three times before this unfortunate injury.
Across nine games, Minshew completed 178 passes for 1,783 yards and eight touchdowns. He also threw nine interceptions and was sacked 26 times.
This is far off from where he was last season with the Indianapolis Colts where he played 17 games and completed 305 passes for 3,305 yards, and 15 touchdowns. He was named to his only Pro Bowl that season.
Hopefully, the scans will come back alright and Minshew will be able to make a safe and healthy recovery.
