A serious traffic accident occurred near Villach, caused by a Slovenian woman. According to the Austrian Kleine Zeitung, the 74-year-old was driving on the A10 motorway in the direction of Villach on Tuesday at 1.30 pm. He was followed by a 64-year-old Slovenian woman who missed a traffic light at the exit for Villach, where a red light came on due to maintenance work on the road. The Slovenian woman collided with the vehicle in front of her. There was a short circuit on the engine and a fire broke out. The Slovenian woman and her passenger in the car managed to leave the vehicle in time. They were not injured. The 74-year-old was also injured unharmed.
Firefighters put out the fire and the Kroislerwandtunnel tunnel was closed to all traffic in the direction of Villach for some time.
