SEONG GI-HUN: LEE JUNG-JAE, A RESTAURATEUR
Lee Jung Jae created his Instagram account a few days ago but has already amassed close to two million followers in the short space of time.
In real life, the 48-year-old actor is far from his cash-strapped onscreen persona, and actually owns a chain of upscale Italian restaurants in Seoul called Il Mare.
He also holds a masters degree in theatre and film and has even dabbled in interior design.

We never see the actress crack a smile in Squid Game, but her Instagram account tells a different story.
The bubbly brunette is a world-renowned model and even competed in the reality show Korea’s Next Top Model.

His desperate character will stop at nothing to earn cold, hard cash to pay off hi mounting debt – but in reality the star is pretty chill.
The 38-year-old is also a new dad, having welcomed his first child last month with his wife.

Ali pulls at our heartstrings with his sad storyline, but in real life the actor is a happy-go-lucky prankster who loves Harry Potter, singing and playing dress-up.

OH IL-NAM – OH YOUNG-SOO, THE SQUID GAME FAVOURITE
Not much is known about the 76-year-old actor bar the fact that he has a long history of playing monks in films.

We know her as the feisty, over-the-top female player whose catchphrase is that “I can do anything except the things I can’t”.

Her character admits to killing her abusive father and living a lonely life, but in real life the seasoned actress is an amateur photographer and fur-mom to three cute dogs.
