Almost 90 crimes concerning the sexual freedom of children are incriminated by law enforcement officers to two Chernivtsi pensioners. One of the pedophiles faces up to 15 years in prison, the other – for life.
According to “Warta 1”, this was discussed today, October 5, during a joint briefing of the head of the GUNP in the Chernivtsi region Ruslan Dudarets and the acting head of the Chernivtsi regional prosecutor’s office Vyacheslav Chorney.
Law enforcement officers have completed the investigation
In early March this year, the police received a statement from a Chernivtsi woman about the distribution of child pornography and the abuse of a minor girl. To verify the information obtained and clarify the circumstances of the crime, the police conducted a series of covert investigative actions under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.

During the surveillance of the perpetrator’s apartment, the police noticed that a minor girl, whom they had seen in a pornographic video provided by the applicant, had entered. With the forceful support of KORD special forces, the police entered the apartment. In addition to the minor and the owner of the apartment, there was also his 66-year-old acquaintance, involved in the abuse of girls and recording lewd acts in photos and videos. Militiamen searched the apartment, confiscated evidence of illegal activity, and detained both pensioners.
For 7 months, police officers collected evidence, processed materials, established the roles of each of the suspects and the victims.
“Crimes against sexual intercourse freedoms are very latent and are usually silenced, – said the head of the regional department of the National Police Ruslan Dudarets. – As it turned out during the pre-trial investigation, the perpetrators have been corrupting minors since 2006. By 2021, law enforcement officers had received 9 appeals concerning an apartment where children were being abused. But they were all from neighbors for disturbing the peace. ”
The police colonel said that both perpetrators did not admit their guilt, and of all the girls they had corrupted, only three testified. So far, only two girls have declared themselves victims of pedophiles.
“Despite this situation, we have enough evidence of the guilt of both detained pensioners,” said Ruslan Dudarets. – The owner of the apartment carefully recorded their illegal actions: dates, names of the girls, the amount of remuneration for sexual services. In total, about 2 terabytes of information were seized from the attacker’s computer, including 54 gigabytes of photos and videos, which according to the results of the examination were considered pornographic. “
According to the results of the pre-trial investigation conducted by the Investigative Department GUNP, a 74-year-old Chernivtsi resident is accused of:
rape of minors (including repeated, as well as committed by a group of persons with prior conspiracy);
pimping;
creation and maintenance of brothels for profit (including with the involvement of minors);
trafficking in minors and their recruitment for sexual exploitation ;
assistance in raping minors;
acts of a sexual nature with a person under the age of 16 and facilitating their commission;
sexual harassment of children;
production, storage and distribution of child pornography (including among minors).
His 66-year-old friend Fr. is accused of:
rape of minors, committed by a group of persons with prior conspiracy,
acts of a sexual nature with a person under the age of 16, committed under a previous conspiracy by a group of persons, as well as those combined with the provision of monetary remuneration to a third party.
Currently, both defendants are in pre-trial detention.
