Take off your gloves: Prevent cold in CDMX and Edomex for this Sunday

The National Water Commission (Conagua) asked the citizens of the capital and Mexicans to take extreme precautions in the face of the forecast of low temperatures in the Valley of Mexico during the early hours of this Sunday .

He warned that the cold to very cold environment will prevail, with frosts at dawn in the Valley of Mexico, therefore, he estimated minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees Celsius in high areas that surround this area. While for Mexico City a clear to partly cloudy sky was forecast, with no probability of rain. The minimum temperature will be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23 to 25 degrees Celsius.


Given the diagnosis of low temperatures for the first hours of this Sunday, the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection activated the yellow alert in the Cuajimalpa, Milpa Alta and Tlalpan demarcations. For the State of Mexico , Conagua foresees a minimum temperature of -3 to -1 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. It also estimates a clear to partly cloudy sky, with no probability of rain. The agency explained that cold front number 19 will rapidly travel the northeast, east and southeast of the national territory, causing heavy to intense rains on the Mexican southeast. The polar air mass will cause a marked decrease in daytime temperature over a large part of the Mexican Republic. Given this, the population is recommended to use cream to protect and hydrate the skin against the cold, avoid being exposed to sudden changes in temperature, drink plenty of water; consume fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins A and C. Also, wash your hands frequently or use antibacterial gel; In case of any discomfort, go to the nearest health center.
