Ten Hag grants Tagliafico and Neres base place against FC Utrecht

Nicolás Tagliafico and David Neres make their comeback in the starting team of Ajax, which will play against FC Utrecht on Sunday afternoon. This is at the expense of Daley Blind and Antony, who take place on the reserve bank. Davy Klaassen also has no base place.

Outside these changes, trainer Erik ten Hag stuck to the players who defeated Besiktas on Tuesday evening with 2-0. Klaassen also started on the bench then. During the time he was injured, Steven Berghuis claimed his place in the number ten position. After the blond midfielder got fit again, Ten Hag stuck to the summer purchase.

Maarten Stekelenburg is also still absent. As a result, it is again up to Remko Pasveer to keep the Ajax goal clean. Stekelenburg has been struggling with an injury for some time and only played three Eredivisie matches this season.

Ajax line-up: Pass spring; Mazraoui, Timber, Martinez, Tagliafico; Álvarez, Gravenberch, Berghuis; Neres, Tadic; Haller.
