The National Basketball Association (NBA) team at the Los Angeles Lakers has supplemented their coaching staff with Shey Murphy.
36 years During his career, the old American represented WNBA teams such as Minnesota’s Lynx, Detroit’s Shock, Washington’s Mystics, Indiana’s Fever, Chicago’s Sky, Phoenix’s Mercury and San Antonio’s Stars
With the Phoenix team, Murphy won the championship in 2014. Prior to that, she became the FIBA Euroleague champion with Istanbul’s Galatasaray in 2012.
The American ended her basketball career in 2019. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel will now have seven assistants, including John Lucas, David Physdale, Phil Handley, Mike Penbert, Quinton Crawford and Mailz Simon, in addition to Merf.
