If you’re looking for an outstanding sale on a massive 77″ OLED TV that excels at both current-gen console gaming and watching the Big Game in all of its glory, then this deal is definitely worth considering. Right now Best Buy has a 77″ Samsung S89C 4K OLED Smart TV for only $1799.99 shipped. This TV had dropped in price earlier in January to $1999.99, but today’s deal drops it even more. It’s rare to find a 77″ OLED TV for under $2K, let alone one of Samsung’s highest end models.
77″ Samsung S89C 4K QD OLED Smart TV for $1799.99
The Samsung S89C is a Best Buy exclusive model, but it’s the same TV as the more ubiquitous 2023 model S90C albeit with a few consmetic changes like the stand design. This is one of the best OLED TVs on the market, superior to even the LG C3. The S89C uses a quantum dot (QD) OLED panel. Quantum dot, or “QD”, OLED panels are brighter than traditional OLED panels without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. This TV does a superb job of displaying content with a lot of fast motion thanks to its near instantaneous response time, and the color and contrast can’t be beat by other non-OLED TVs thanks to its near infinite black levels.
OLED technology aside, the Samsung S89C also has all the features you’d want in a gaming TV. It has a true 120Hz panel as well as four total HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X.
The S89C/S90C is easily one of the best OLED TVs out right now. Right now there are only three other TVs that are as good as this TV: the Sony A95L ($5000), the Samsung S95C ($3500), and the LG G3 Gallery Series ($3500). Personally if I were to go shopping right now for a super high-end TV, especially one that didn’t deplete my bank account, I’d jump on this deal.
