The Colombian production “The forgetfulness that we will be” won five Platinum Awards this Sunday, October 3, in the eighth edition of the Ibero-American cinema award. The film directed by Fernando Trueba (also awarded as Best Director), won the statuette for Best Ibero-American Fiction Film. It also won awards for Best Screenplay (David Trueba), Best Actor (Javier Cámara) and Best Art Direction (Diego López).
The adaptation of the homonymous novel by Héctor Abad Faciolince, which It took the Goya for Best Ibero-American Film, competed in 11 categories, reported EFE.
Same number as “La llorona”, by Guatemalan Jayro Bustamante, which won Platinum for Best Editing (for Gustavo Matheu and the director himself). It also received Best Photography Direction (Nicolás Wong) and Best Sound Direction (Eduardo Cáceres).
