LESKOVAC – The play “Hasanaginica” based on the famous play by Ljubomir Simović, directed by Isidora Goncić, will be premiered tonight at 8 pm at the National Theater Leskovac.
The project is a co-production of the National Theaters of Nis and Leskovac, where actors from both theaters play: Dragan Boza Marjanovic (Hasanaga), Mina Cocic (Hasanaginica), Ivana Nedovic (Majka Hasanagina), Filip Radivojevic (Beg Pintorovic), Suzana Grujic (Majka Pintorovica), Predrag Smiljkovic (Efendija Jusuf), Dragisa Veljkovic (Ahmed), Ivan Jankovic (Asker Suljo), Nikola Scepanovic (Asker Huso) and Filip Nedeljkovic (Musa).
The author’s team also includes playwright Đorđe Kosić, set designer Mina Miladinović, composer Irena Popović, costume designer Katarina Pavlović, choreographer Jovana Ikonić, and others.
The anthological drama “Hasanaginica” had is a numerous productions of the past decades in theaters of Serbia and the region, and at the National Theater in Belgrade, directed by Jagoš Marković, played for 20 years
The same director staged on the Grand Stage of the JDP a play by the same writer “Traveling Theater Shopalovic”, whose premiere was shortly before the outbreak of the pandemic (February 2020
The play “Miracle in Shargan” by this writer is played on many stages of our country, such as the Belgrade National Theater, directed by Egon Savin, and the writer , poet and playwright Ljubomir Simović is also known for the play “Battle in Kosovo”, which was screened as a cinema film directed by Zdravko Šotra, back in 1989.
The second planned premiere of the co-producer of the National Theater Nis – the musical “Some like it hot” has been postponed for now due to the situation with the corona virus and is waiting for better days to perform.
