The Chromecast from Google, and more recently, the new Chromecast with integrated Google TV , have become over time as practical as popular devices, since they not only serve to replicate the screen of the mobile on our TV, but also to turn it into a Smart TV. And as usually happens in these cases, numerous manufacturers have launched themselves to market similar alternatives .
Among all of them, we have, for example, the Fire TV Stick 4K from Amazon, the Mi TV Stick from Xiaomi and, very soon, the 4K Smart Google TV Stick from Realme . This is what the device that the Chinese manufacturer plans to launch next week will be called and of which we already know its first characteristics.
With support for HDR10 + and HDMI 2.1
There were already rumors that Realme was preparing to launch a device for television with 4K streaming support and Google TV instead of Android TV. Now it has been the company itself that has confirmed that it will be called Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick and will be released on October 13 .
In fact, Realme India has already created the product page of the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick with quite a lot of details about the device and images that show us its design. Being a stick, its appearance is very similar to that of the Amazon and Xiaomi proposals, but it brings an important novelty: it will run Google TV out of the box , which makes it the first real alternative to Google’s Chromecast with Google TV.
Let’s remember that Google TV is the last version of Android TV and has a new content-centric user interface to improve user experience. Until now, it was only available on the Chromecast with Google TV and some Sony and TCL TVs, but we’ll have it on the Realme stick soon too.
The Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick can be used with the Google Assistant, it will have support for HDR10 + and will be compatible with HDMI 2.1
In addition, Realme has confirmed that the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick can be used with the Google Assistant, will offer 4K playback at 60 fps , will have support for HDR10 + and will be compatible with HDMI 2.1. The images of the device that appear on the web reveal that it will have an HDMI port, a USB Type-C port and a white LED, but it does not show or refer to any remote control.
