This Friday, Portugal has two municipalities at extreme risk of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Alvito and Cuba, one more in relation to the emanates earlier, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) released this Friday.
The extreme risk of infection occurs when a municipality has a cumulative incidence of 14 days above 960 cases of infection per 100 thousand inhabitants.
In the bulletin of last Friday, the day on which the values of the councils are communicated, Alcoutim he was the only one on that list, having left in the meantime. The new report from the authorities reveals that the municipality of Alvito is now at this level with 2,391 cases and Cuba with 968 cases
The analysis refers to the cumulative incidence of 14 days between September 23 and October 6.
In the explanatory note of the data by municipalities it is stated that the incidence cumulative “corresponds to the quotient between the number of new confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to the moment of analysis and the estimated resident population”.

At very high risk, that is, with an incidence of between 480 and 959.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, there are four municipalities, two more compared to the previous week: Alcoutim (674) Arganil (819), Beja (519) and Ferreira do Alentejo (602) .
Between 240 and 479.9 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants to 14 days, the bulletin reports the existence of 16 municipalities in these conditions.
According to the bulletin, between 120 and 239.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days are 50 counties, 13 fewer than the previous week.
The list of municipalities with zero cases of infection is growing. In this situation are 39 of the 308 municipalities, seven more compared to last Friday’s report .
