Here, you can follow, up to the minute, with the journalists of Maisfutebol present in the stadiums, all about the matches of the 17th round of the I Portuguese Football League.
Highlights
Friday, 01/07:
Swindon Town-Manchester City (8pm, SportTV2)
The leader of the English Premier League is coming off six consecutive victories for all competitions and it is precisely this Friday a month since the last defeat, against Leipzig, on December 7, at the closing of the group stage of the Champions League, in a game that practically only fulfilled the schedule. Ahead now is the trip to The Energy Check County Ground , to face Swindon, current ranked fifth in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. It’s the game that opens the FA Cup third round and for which the
citizens
don’t will have Pep Guardiola, who tested positive for covid-19, as well as some players.
Saturday, 01/08:
Granada-Barcelona (17:30, Eleven1)
After several cases of covid-19 that greatly limited the options for Mallorca, Xavi Hernández should already have a more composed squad for the trip to Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes, where Barcelona will face Granada, played by the Portuguese Luís Maximiano, João Costa and Domingos Duarte. Match of the 20th round of the Spanish league, in which the Catalans occupy the fifth position, with 31 points – 15 of the leaders Real Madrid – and Granada are 13th, with 23 points.
Real Madrid-Valencia (8pm, Eleven1)
A classic and one of the big games of the day in Spain. Leaders Real Madrid (46 points) come from a defeat against Getafe in the previous round and welcome Valencia’s Thierry Correia, Gonçalo Guedes and Hélder Costa, who are eighth with 28 points. The Merengues continue to lead with some margin, but a slip at the Santiago Bernabéu could liven up the accounts even more because Sevilla is on the lookout: they have 41 points and one less game played than Carlo Ancelotti’s men, who already this fourth on Monday they beat Alcoyano for the Copa del Rey.
Sunday, 01/09:
Rayo Vallecano-Betis (13:00, Eleven1)
It is also one of the games that promises the most interest in matchday 20 in Spain. The seventh ranked and the third ranked, separated by just three points. The Rayo, by Kévin Rodrigues and Bebé, has 30 points. Betis, by Rui Silva and William Carvalho, have 33 points.
Liverpool-Shrewsbury Town (2:00 pm, SportTV2)
Cup party at Anfield in a game that could be ideal for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to return to winning ways. After one Premier League defeat and two draws in their last three games, in addition to being eliminated on penalties against Leicester for the League Cup, the
reds, where Diogo Jota plays, receive the current 14th place in League One, the English third division, in the third round of the FA Cup.
Rome-Juventus (17:30, SportTV3)
More a tough and demanding test for José Mourinho’s Roma, who host Juventus on Sunday after having lost this Thursday in the trip to San Siro, against Milan. The team from the capital has 32 points and is in seventh place, with the same points as Fiorentina (6th) and Lazio (8th). The Turin team, which comes from a draw with Napoli also this Thursday, has 35 points and occupies the fifth position. A victory therefore allows Mourinho’s men to stick to Vecchia Signora
.
Inter Milan-Lazio (19:45, SportTV2)
The leader of the Italian league welcomes Lazio, FC Porto’s opponent in the Europa League, in one of the most desirable matches of the 21st round of the Serie A transalpina. It is also a classic of football in Italy. The leader, who saw this Thursday’s game in Bologna not take place after the opponent’s squad was placed in isolation due to covid-19, returns to competition against the eighth ranked in search of giving more solidity to the first place. It has 46 points, to 45 of the vice-leader Milan, who however has one more game played.
Lyon-PSG (19h45 , Eleven2)
Matchday 20 of the French Premier League takes the leader of the competition, Paris Saint-Germain of the Portuguese Nuno Mendes and Danilo Pereira, to Lyon, by Anthony Lopes. Once in more heated direct disputes for the French title, the two teams find themselves with very different realities. PSG, despite having drawn in three of the last four matches, are ranked first with 46 points. Lyon are only 13th. with 24 points.
Villarreal-Atlético Madrid (20h00, Eleven1)
It’s another of the most interesting games in the pipeline for the Spanish league this weekend. The ‘yellow submarine’, current holder of the Europa League and present in the round of 16 of the Champions League, occupies only ninth place with 28 points domestically, but is really going through the best phase of the championship: it comes from four consecutive days to win . On the other hand, Atlético, fourth with 32 points, finally put an end to four matches to lose with a triumph against Rayo Vallecano, a team that they surpassed even punctually.

Manchester United-Aston Villa (19:55, SportTV2)
Without some last-minute postponement, the Old Trafford duel, in Monday will end the FA Cup third round. A week after the home defeat against Wolverhampton, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and company will seek to move forward in another competition that is the objective of the
