Man kann mobil kostenlos navigieren, aber muss dafür mit Nutzerdaten zahlen. Etwas anders ist es bei TomTom Go. Aber dort ist es jetzt teurer.

Im vergangenen Dezember wurde bekannt, dass TomTom für seine GO-Plattform die Preise erhöhen muss. Zunächst setzte man diese Preiserhöhung aber nur für die iOS-App um. Eine Frage der Zeit, bis das auch in der Android-App ankommt. Und jetzt ist der Tag gekommen. Die höheren Preise gelten ab sofort für Android-Nutzer genauso. Damit sind die Preise wieder unabhängig davon, welches Betriebssystem ihr verwendet.
TomTom GO: Preise auf neuem Level, jedoch nicht für alle Kunden
Aber die Preise sind ordentlich teurer als vorher. Das kleinste und flexibelste Paket kostet 3,99 Euro je Monat. Günstiger ist es, wenn ihr euch für 6 Monate bindet und dafür 13,99 Euro löhnt. Oder gleich für ein ganzes Jahr, das mit 19,99 Euro berechnet wird. Im höchsten Paket kommt ihr auf einen effektiven monatlichen Preis von nur 1,66 Euro. Das ist in meinen Augen ein ganz ordentlicher Kurs.
Diese Preise gelten zunächst für Neukunden. Daher auch nicht für die, deren Abonnement ausläuft und automatisch verlängert wird. Das ist ein feiner Zug, die Bestandskunden vorerst zu „verschonen“.
