PC gamers have faced various adversities since the dawn of time. On their way to happiness, there is still insufficient computing power – even if the computer is able to run a given game in maximum detail, in a few years you will probably forget about this comfort. To this, let’s add a lot of often incomprehensible settings, potential technical problems, and sometimes even complicated installation procedures. The worst thing, however, is that even if someone has all the PC issues at their fingertips and is fully prepared to play the most demanding hits, then around the corner there may be the ultimate weapon of game developers, from which there is no escaping. At the beginning, it is worth determining what this whole thing is actually about optimization in games? The easiest way is to assume that it is a set of actions taken by the creators to present every aspect of the game in the best possible form while maintaining the highest possible fluidity. An example of the production from the latter category will be, for example, Resident Evil 4 or the first Dark Souls in the Prepare to Die Edition version.
