UFC Vegas 38 bonuses: Four prelim fighters cash extra $50k for Performances of the Night

Four fighters from Saturday’s UFC Vegas 38 preliminary card will leave Las Vegas a little richer after cashing Performance of the Night bonus checks.

With no UFC Vegas 38 matchup stealing the show and taking Fight of the Night honors, victorious athletes Casey O’Neill, Jamie Mullarkey, Douglas Silva de Andrade, and Alejandro Perez instead were all recipients of the UFC’s customary $50,000 post-fight bonuses for their solo efforts.

O’Neill and Mullarkey both defeated their respective opponents — Antonina Shevchenko and Devonte Smith — with second-round assaults of punches, while Silva de Andrade bounced Gaetano Pirrello with a highlight-reel, one-punch knockout, and Perez sent Johnny Eduardo home unhappy courtesy of a second-round armbar.

UFC Vegas 38 took place Oct. 2 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One-time UFC title challenger Thiago Santos snapped a three-fight losing skid with a sluggish unanimous decision win over light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker in the night’s main-event.
