VW ID.3 is already sold out for this year

VW customers have to be patient with ID.3 models. Another electric car is to be produced again for this.

The VW electric cars of the ID. series are obviously selling like hot cakes. Many VW dealers do not know how to meet the great demand for the ID.3.

For current orders, the delivery time is at least 9 months to be expected for up to a year, according to a report by the electric car magazine Edison . For the ID.3 Pro model with a 58 kWh battery has already been order freeze imposed by VW, because the planned production for 2022 is already completely sold out .

The reason for this is said to be, among other things the global chip crisis , which is also said to be responsible for the fact that the cheapest version of the VW SUV ID.4 can no longer be ordered since the beginning of the month.

e-Up! should help

Volkswagen takes for that the production of the e-Up! in Bratislava, which should also serve as a replacement for the ID.3. The Style Plus version can be ordered again “promptly”, as VW informed its dealers. The base price is 26,500 euros.

From the end In 2020, the e-Up! model was no longer displayed in the Volkswagen car configurator.

For the 2023 model year, the manufacturer is planning a facelift for the ID.3. In autumn, after customer complaints about the quality of the materials used, among other things, the interior will be revised. In the second step, the appearance should be modified.

Below a certain temperature (approximately -130 degree Celsius), electrical resistance vanishes from these materials and magnetic flux fields are expelled. However, the basis for…
