MSB has sent out two helicopters from Västerås to help with the extinguishing work.

The rescue service received the alarm about the fire at 9.15 on Sunday morning.

Helicopters water bombs
There is a risk of spreading within the waste facility and 17 units are in place for to extinguish the fire. Two MSB helicopters are on site and water bombs the rubbish heap.
– They are here and working full time, says Bergqvist.
The police have also been on site, according to Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police.
– We were there and watched earlier today but it is not judged that there is any suspicion of crime, he says.
