Teenage startup Mytaag

Together, two teenage founders want to advance the digitization of paper business cards. With NFC chips, which are also used, for example, for contactless payments with Apple Pay. The idea: Avoid garbage and exchange contacts digitally. Davis Zöllner and Berkay Ugur Cankiran founded the startup Mytaag during their school days. Instead of lockdown boredom, the two had a corporate urge in spring 2020. Now they appear as the youngest founding duo on the TV show “Die Höhle der Löwen”
They were then 16 and 17 years old old students met in January 2020 at an entrepreneur event in Potsdam. Cankiran brought programming experience and experimented with NFC chips. Zöllner recognized the potential when Cankiran sent him his contact details via a chip on his smartphone during the event. With that the basic idea for Mytaag was born .
Full focus on the company
The two founders are now of legal age and do business with medium-sized companies and corporations Businesses. On the one hand, Mytaag offers small stickers that can be stuck to the back of the smartphone using the built-in chip. On the other hand, a plastic business card with a chip and QR code is offered. The products are sold from 13 euros via the online shop and Amazon.

In addition, the Hamburg-based company has developed software for corporate customers to manage digital business cards and view statistics. There is a license fee for this. According to its own information, Mytaag has already equipped companies with thousands of employees, including the real estate company Engel & Völkers. A total of around 3,500 stickers should currently be in circulation. “We want to reach 50,000 users by the end of the year,” says Zöllner to the start-up scene. Her company currently has seven employees.
Cankiran dropped out of college for his company, Zöllner retired after graduating from high school this year now also completely turned to Mytaag. “So far we haven’t had the range,” says Zöllner. That should change now. They are now looking for an investor at TV-Lions and are calling for the comparatively modest sum of 50,000 euros for 30 percent of the company’s shares.
