Who is Gemma Owen’s new boyfriend Aadam Hamed: Meet Love Island star’s new beau

Former Love Island star Gemma Owen is dating Aadam Hamed, who is the son of former world boxing champ Prince Naseem Hamed.

The former Love Island star, 20, finished the 2022 summer series as a runner-up with her then-boyfriend Luca Bish, 24. After three months of dating, the duo decided to go their separate ways in November last year and Gemma has been rumoured to be dating several celebs ever since.

But recently the daughter of ex-footballer Michael Owen confirmed her new romance with Aadam this week after they were spotted in Dubai together. Although the pair have not yet shared a photo together, they’ve been posting sweet snaps on social media while in the same location.

The couple could have bonded over their similar backgrounds in the sporting world, Gemma with her footballer father and Aadam with his world boxing champ dad, Prince Naseem Hamed. While Gemma has taken her own path as an International Dressage Rider, Aadam has followed in his father’s footsteps in the boxing world.

Aadam Hamed, 23, is the spitting image of his father, Prince Naseem Hamed and has proven to have the skills to make it in the boxing world. In August this year, Aadam won his first-ever fight on the Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Duboi undercard of the heavyweight world title in Poland.

His opponent Vojtech Hrdy, 17, lasted two minutes and nine seconds of a one-sided first round before Aadam took his victory. Speaking to Daily Mail about the fight, Aadam said: “That was my first fight ever, not just my pro debut.

“It was a blessing to be here in front of everyone… I felt like I put on a performance and it’s only going to get bigger and better from here.”

Before his fight, former world boxing champ Prince took to Instagram and wrote: “My boy @aadam.hamed hasn’t stopped training since his win in Poland, he is hungryyy & ready to go again.”

The fight no doubt made his father proud who during the 90s won a sea of titles during a 10-year stint as a professional boxer. He was labelled one of the sport’s greatest showmen with his flamboyant style and became one of Britain’s first pay-per-view stars.

Striving to succeed, Aadam is often sharing videos on his Instagram page to show off his natural talent with his dad never too far from the rising star. While his photos are typically aimed at the world of boxing, in February the boxer paid tribute to Prince’s birthday.

Posting a series of old snaps of his dad, Aadam wrote the caption: “Happy birthday to the best dad in the world, I hope one day I make you as proud as you made your dad.” The photos proved just how much Aadam looked like his dad when he was younger and today still holds an uncanny resemblance.

Rumours emerged last month that Gemma and Aadam were dating after the pair were reportedly spotted enjoying a meal together at a restaurant in Birmingham, but neither confirmed nor denied the reports at the time.

A source claimed to The Sun that Aadam is smitten with Gemma and that they have been getting “close for a while”, adding: “but this Dubai trip is them making it properly official.”

The source continued: “He’s not had many serious girlfriends but he’s really serious about her. They’re smitten with one another.

“They mix in the same circles, and she’s successful in her own right which appeals to him. They’re a lovely couple.” Gemma insisted back in August that she was single after it was rumoured she was dating polo player Tommy Severn but has she since found the one?
