Xiaomi: Civi smartphone offers practically nothing new

Xiaomi Civi

In its home country Xiaomi has presented a new smartphone for a completely new device series , but the device disappoints due to fewer special features. It’s not that every smartphone should be great on its own. But neither do we want a market full of copies with marginal differences. In the new Civi smartphone, however, we recognize a lot that we already know from the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE know.

Small differences do not make a new smartphone

The base is the Snapdragon 778 processor, the main camera consists of 64 MP + ultra wide angle and macro. For the display, the Civi uses 6.55 ″ OLEDs like the 11 Lite 5G NE, only with 120 instead of 90 Hz. The integrated battery is slightly larger with 4500 mAh and charges a little faster with 55 watts. But none of these are the big differences that would justify a market launch in Germany.

It looks different with Design that is much more noticeable. The display is curved, the punch hole for the front camera is very small and the device looks very high quality on press images. In addition, the smartphone is specially designed for selfie fans because the front camera has an auto focus and has a resolution of 32 MP.

There are no signs that the Civi is leaving its home market anyway. In my opinion, an international market launch would be more conceivable than POCO or Redmi.
