The first sightings of two Xiaomi Watch S2 Pro models have been spotted online. Certified as M2311W1 and M2312W1, both smartwatches should feature LTE connectivity, unlike other flagship Xiaomi smartwatches.

It appears that Xiaomi is developing a new flagship smartwatch, only a few months after the company released the Watch S1 Pro globally. Incidentally, there is still no global variant of the Watch S2, nearly seven months after its Chinese debut. Nonetheless, Xiaomiui claims to have discovered initial details about the Watch S2 Pro courtesy of IMEI database results.

As the screenshots below show, Xiaomi has developed the M2311W1 and M2312W1, likely variants of the same model. While the entries do not provide retail names,Xiaomiuiassumes that they are two versions of the Watch S2 Pro. However, their appearance on IMEI databases suggests that M2311W1 and M2312W1 have LTE connectivity, a first for Xiaomi smartwatches.

Other details are unknown for now, but the Watch S2 Pro is presumed to be on track for being announced next month alongside the Mix Fold 3 and Pad 6 Max. It remains to be seen which OS Xiaomi will maintain going forwards, though. As we discussed earlier this year9to5Google revealed that Xiaomi was actively developing a Wear OS-based smartwatch under its Xiaomi Watch series. Wear OS is only likely to be available on global models, with Chinese models likely continuing to rely on MIUI OS, which is underpinned by Android.
