‘Young Sheldon’ S7 Clip Shows Mary and George’s New Means of Communication

A season 7, episode 3 Young Sheldon clip features an unexpected connection between George and Mary Cooper. The Cooper family is still separated as the show moves towards its final season. Sheldon’s summer school in Germany is also ongoing.

The Cooper parents have found a new and effective way to communicate. Although in the early 90s, communication was not as easy as it is today, phones served as useful means of communication.

TVLine has revealed a new clip from Young Sheldon season 7, episode 3, titled “A Strudel and a Hot American Boy Toy,” which shows George and Mary communicating via letters. Here’s the clip:

Young Sheldon 7×03 | George and Mary’s Relationship Takes a Surprising Turn

The video features George reading Mary’s letter as they recalled their last long-distance phase during the Vietnam War. Mary speaks about her problems with Sheldon in Germany, while George talks about Meemaw and how she’s coping with losing her house.

George and Mary’s marriage has gone through its fair share of ups and downs. However, Young Sheldon leaves their stories incomplete and inaccurate if we go by The Big Bang Theory.

The past few years in Young Sheldon saw the couple go through several turmoils, from financial troubles to potential affairs. Seeing the couple trying to make the best of their situation in season 7 is refreshing.

George’s death is inevitable now, so Mary and George reconciling only sets up a bigger tragedy for the future. It’s unclear when Mary and Sheldon will return from Germany, but we’ll surely not see enough of the Cooper family together.

We can assume that the series will not wait till the end to showcase George’s death, so the family is set to face a big tragedy. Despite their difficult relationship, Mary genuinely loves George. Losing him will be a big blow for her.

Young Sheldon season 7 has only 12 episodes left, so George’s death can take place in any episode. Family comedies usually do not end on a sad note, so seeing how Young Sheldon deals with it will be interesting.
