金色の鶴丸ロゴが復活──。日本航空（JAL/JL、9201）のボーイング787-8型機に垂直尾翼の鶴丸ロゴを金色にした機体（登録記号JA835J）が登場した。北京で開かれている冬季オリンピック・パラリンピックで活躍する選手へJALが感謝の気持ちを表したもので、東京大会に合わせて2021年に運航した「みんなのJAL2020ジェット」の3号機（エアバスA350-900型機、登録記号JA06XJ）のように金の鶴丸ロゴが輝く。

同機は国際線仕様機で、2クラス206席（ビジネス30席、エコノミー176席）のE03仕様。金色の鶴丸ロゴはデカールを貼ったもので、2月16日夜に格納庫を出て、17日昼に羽田発成田行きJL8122便として成田空港へフェリーされた。
JALによると、21日の北京発成田行きJL860便に投入予定で、北京を午後5時25分に出発し、成田には午後6時55分に到着する見込み。その後は787で運航している成田発着の短距離国際線に投入する計画で、4月上旬までの運航になりそうだという。
JALで初めて鶴丸ロゴが金色になったみんなのJAL2020ジェット3号機は、東京オリンピック開幕直前の2021年7月20日に就航。約4カ月間運航し、12月12日夜の那覇発羽田行きJL912便が金の鶴丸塗装で最後の運航便となった。
