“설 당일 귀경길 정체 오후 4∼5시 절정 예상”

설 전날인 31일 밤 전국 고속도로는 대체로 원활한 소통을 보이고 있다.

한국도로공사에 따르면 이날 오후 9시 기준 경부고속도로, 서해안고속도로, 중부고속도로, 수도권제1순환고속도로(서울외곽순환고속도로) 등 주요 고속도로에서는 양방향 정체 없이 차들이 제 속도를 내고 있다.

오후 10시에 승용차로 서울 요금소를 출발해 전국 주요 도시까지 걸리는 시간은 부산 4시간 30분, 광주 3시간 20분, 대구 3시간 30분, 강릉 2시간 40분 등으로 예상된다.

설날 당일인 다음 달 1일은 귀성과 귀경 차량이 혼재해 고속도로가 매우 혼잡할 것으로 예상된다고 도로공사는 밝혔다.

도로공사는 1일 전국의 교통량이 495만대로 전날 432만대보다 많을 것으로 예상했다. 수도권에서 지방으로 37만대, 지방에서 수도권으로 45만대가 이동할 것으로 보인다.

귀성 방향 정체는 오전 9∼10시께 시작돼 오후 1∼2시께 절정에 이르렀다가 오후 6∼7시께 해소될 것으로 예상됐다.

귀경 방향 정체는 오전 8∼9시께 시작돼 오후 4∼5시께 최대에 달한 뒤 다음날 오전 2∼3시께야 풀리겠다고 도로공사는 내다봤다.
