German quarantine regulations may be relaxed

The decision of the German Federal Government also applies to the omicron raging in Europe, announced by the Minister for Health, Karl Lauterbach.

It must be approved by the Bundestag today and tomorrow. If this happens, the new rules will take effect on Saturday. 43.5 percent of the population — 36.2 million people — received the booster after the full vaccination. There are 21.1 million unvaccinated people, or 25.3 percent of the population. Of these, 4 million – 4.8 per cent of the population – are children under the age of five who do not yet have a vaccine.
